Is the MZOO worth considering?
The MZOO is the contoured mask to try first. Its moulded memory-foam cups keep the fabric off your eyelids — the single feature that makes a mask wearable all night — and it seals around the nose well enough for most faces, at a fraction of what the modular masks cost. Its limit is that the cup spacing is fixed: if light still creeps in at the nose bridge after loosening the strap, no amount of adjustment will fix it, and that is when the Manta PRO earns its premium. Side sleepers who find the raised edge intrusive should look at the slimmer Nidra instead.

Why the MZOO exists
A flat mask rests on the eyelids. It presses on the lashes, it interferes with the rapid eye movements that happen during REM, and it lets light in at the nose because a flat edge cannot follow a curved face. The MZOO exists to fix all three at once with a moulded cup: the fabric is held away from the eye, the edge seals on the cheekbone, and the bridge is shaped rather than flat.
What it does not try to do is adapt. The cups are where the mould put them, which keeps the mask simple, light and affordable, and which is also its one real weakness.

The cups are deep enough for lids and lashes to move freely. This is the feature that matters most and the MZOO delivers it at its price point.

Not when it fits. The moulded cups create a space in front of the eyes so lashes and lids are clear of fabric; the seal is made around the nose and cheekbones. If you feel it on your lids, the strap is too tight or the cups are the wrong spacing for your face.
Is the MZOO good for side sleepers?
It is lower-profile than modular masks like the Manta PRO, which helps, but any contoured cup has a raised edge that meets the pillow. Committed side sleepers who find that uncomfortable should look at the Nidra, which is designed around a slimmer profile.
How do you clean the MZOO sleep mask?
Treat it as hand-wash only: cool water, mild soap, squeeze without wringing and air dry. We could not confirm machine-washing guidance from the manufacturer, so the conservative approach is the safe one.
