Every cookie we set, what it does, and how to control it.
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie SleepOriginal sets and what each is for. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Keeps your session working across pages — for example holding your checkout in progress or keeping an administrator signed in. | Until you close your browser | Strictly necessary |
| quiz_session_token | Lets you resume the sleep quiz where you left off, and links your answers to your result. | 30 days | Functional |
| hub_auth | Keeps you signed in to your downloads area so you can re-access guides you have bought. | 30 days | Functional |
| clear_cart | A short-lived signal telling your browser to empty the basket after a completed order. | 5 minutes | Strictly necessary |
How we measure the site
Our content analytics do not rely on an advertising cookie or a third-party tracker. We record which modules were seen and which internal links were clicked, tied to a random session identifier and a one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store raw IP addresses for this, and these records contain no name or email address.
Third-party cookies
- PayPal sets its own cookies when the payment window loads, so it can process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by PayPal's own policies.
- Amazon and other retailers may set a cookie once you click through to their site, to attribute a purchase to us. That happens on their domain under their policies, not ours.
- Google Fonts, jsDelivr and Tailwind CDN serve fonts, scripts and styles. These do not set cookies for us, but your browser does reveal your IP address to them in order to fetch the files.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you view existing cookies, remove them individually or entirely, and refuse new ones.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site — you will not be able to complete a purchase or stay signed in to your downloads. Blocking functional cookies means the quiz will not remember your progress.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, we will update this table. If we ever introduce advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
