Why the Coop Cut-Out exists
Side sleepers have two gaps to fill: the one between ear and mattress, and the one their shoulder creates when it presses into the bed. A rectangular pillow fills the first and fights the second — its front edge sits on top of the shoulder, pushing the pillow away and the head out of line. The usual fix is a taller pillow, which fixes the alignment and creates pressure of its own.
